Parody Song Title:

"'75"

Parody Written by:

Susanna Viljanen

In the year of '75, Brian May did write a song,
and its words were so obscure
Yes, it told of volunteers who went sailing strangest seas
but why - I was not so sure
"Though so many years have gone, I am older but a year"
and the "land our grandkids knew"
those were words quite 'nigmatic, and I thought it was magic
- as the same year the ship came from blue

Can't you see my ponderings for so many years ago,
Can you get that riddle unwind?
If you understand them words, then you really are are a nerd
And you sure smiling old Brian find!

In the year of '95, answer came out of the blue
- no, it was not World War Two -
though the war did break that year, it's the stars that are so dear
for Bri, and he knew it for sure -
One line doesn't rhyme at all, "day" and "sea" don't pairs befall,
but just swap the "sea" with 'way' -
Wham! The answer's clear to me - yes, it's Relativity!
Time Dilation - so to say!

Can't you see my ponderings of so many years ago?
It was spaceship! Speed near C !
When you understand those words - yes, you really are a nerd
Brian knew his trade, now you see!

Can't you feel my ponderings of so many years ago?
Lorentz transforms have tricks dim -
Hero has his life ahead, but his friends and wife are dead
Speed of light slows down time - pity him!
