fast food hell,
i man the fryer
i like the job,
yea i'm a liar
two days so far,
haven't got it yet
my supervisors a pain,
and we just met

grease in the fryer
hope a new job comes fast
i've got to escape
from the fast food grasp

you can't take your eyes off of the cooking french fries
i'm doing ok, standing here learning to fry

i'm gonna gain a hundred pounds here working
this outfit is itchy
i thought i'd thought of everything
wait for the buzzer and pull up the fries
unable to resist i take a bite

once again i turn the fryer on
before i put them in the little bags their gone
and all those fries are gonna go to my thighs
i lost my discipline when i was learning to fry

baskground talking:
grease, it's hot
frozen fries go in the basket
and into oil
bring them up at the buzzer
shake salt over them
fill the small, medium or large container
out to the customers
the customer is always right
don't forget to friggin' smile

five years later i'm here, and kind of fat
i can't get a better job, even though i'm pretty good at math
poor economy, rich, greedy ceos
maybe i'll spit on their fries next time they show
can't afford to go to college and don't have the time
i see a train in the distance, it's the end of the tunnel's light
there's no sensation to compare with this
years of penny pinching and hopelessness
i never took my eyes off the cooking french fries
i lost my dignity and discipline learning to fry...
