The Lyrics

...as sung by sir paul himself......
so, this gal's a fanatic...all akimbo, i suppose
and she won't toe the line like she oughta (she oughta she oughta)
here am i, cut no slack...now, i'll pay through the nose
to this horrible broad and our daughter (our daughter our daughter)
pay up (pay up)...cool her fury (cool her fury)
leave that lass behind (that lass behind)
give up (give up)...judge and jury (judge and jury)
leave her ass behind (her ass behind her ass behind her ass behind)

well, a nest's full of rats have awoken
and the news unnerved me, its plain
the bonds we had tied were all broken
no attempt to repair them again
why be stuck with a broad i can't stomach ?
i'll just pay her to exit my life
but that youngster, i'll gladly take care of
shuckin'...my very loony wife

my very loony wife...my very loony wife
my very loony wife...my very loony wife

well, she drove me bananas...its time i had a rest
i must send my attorney a letter (a letter a letter)
i'm so tired of this trauma...i'll get it off my chest
at my age, guess i should have known better (known better known better)
shut up (shut up)...catty hissin' (catty hissin')
why be so unkind (you're so unkind)
set up (set up)...pre-nup's missin' (pre-nup's missin')
she'll be rich in time (be rich in time be rich in time be rich in time)

my very loony wife...my very loony wife
my very loony wife...my very loony wife
my very loony wife...my very loony wife
my very loony wife...my very loony wife

Finally! The lyrics make sense! TMGLTM, but "why be stuck with a broad I can't stomach / I'll just pay her to exit my life" echoes the original lyric nicely. 555

As the `looney husband', I can sort'a relate... kudos for "akimbo"!

Brilliant job, I sang right along with this one. Nice reference to "I should have known better"! However, my heart goes out to Macca, apparently he's really messed up right now by the divorce (and I think he's also finally really grieving over losing Linda).

While I'm more familiar with (and fond of) the nutso Screaming Jay Hawkins version, I loved what you did with this! I would say that Heather doesn't have a leg to stand on, but she does, so I won't. ;-) 55

Very well done...reads like a rockumentary

thanks kristof ( i had no idea screamin' jay covered this....but it sounds like something fun for him to scream....i dunno...not real fond of this tune....it reminds me of the psychotic son of "obladi oblada"...which i also dislike and i fought off the urge to bring up heather's handicap, though i couldn't resist the "toeing the line" bit)....thanks AFW
