The Lyrics

For over three decades, there was an actual steamboat called the Mississippi Queen. It was modeled on a classic Mississippi steamboat.
Mississippi Queen
If you know what I mean
Mississippi Queen
It taught me everything
It was a big steamboat
From way back in the day
It traveled Old Man River
'Twas owned by Majestic
206 state rooms
To hold 412 guests

While this stern paddlewheeler
Was full of hot chicks
Come on baby I will show you a good time

Mississippi Queen
If you know what I mean
Mississippi Queen
It taught me everything
It went to New Orleans
Then up to Memphis
It traveled Old Man River
All the way to St. Louis
This boat was so pratty
At night it had to shine

(guitar solo)

The ship was full of gamblers
That were betting every dime

Yeah, Mississippi Queen

Over on the side of your page, I see an ad for "The Best of Mountain" album. I think the best of Mountain can be summed up with one guitar power chord -- DA DA DA DAA!! Those guys weren't even a one hit wonder; they were a one guitar chord wonder
