The Lyrics

Mark Sanford, governor of South Carolina, admitted to disappearing for 5 days to carry on an affair with his Argentinian mistress while claiming to be hiking the Appalachians. Someone (see also Wife) tipped a reporter to go check out the Atlanta airport to see what they could see and walla -- Mr. Stanford returning from Argentina. Well, it didn't take long for him to call a press conference and admit to everything. Here's his story in one of the most parodied songs on this site :)
Emails keep on coming
Taunting him to come again
He describes her gentle kisses
That he loves tan lines on her skin
Isn’t this a sin, yes?

Well I heard him talk about Bill Clinton
Well I heard him ask for his head
Well, in lieu of flying around the world
He coulda got himself an intern instead
And took her to bed

Flying home from Argentina
From a trip that’s five days long
Flying home from Argentina
An Appalachian trip gone wrong

In Buenos Aires s he loved the gov’nor (ooo, ooo, ooo)
His marriage vows he did eschew
Now as an U.S. American,
Does your conscience bother you?
Tell the truth

Flying home from Argentina
From a trip that’s five days long
Flying home from Argentina
An Appalachian trip gone wrong
Here I come Carolina

Now someone close tipped a reporter
Look for the man with the passion cup (passion bucket)
He needs a ride from the airport
Now go to Georgia and pick him up
He’s a dead pup

Flying home from Argentina
From a trip that’s five days long
Flying home from Argentina
An Appalachian trip gone wrong

Flying home from Argentina
He’ll miss his baby
From a trip that’s five days long
Is he wearing her thong?
Flying home from Argentina
An Appalachian trip gone wrong
Yea, yea, hypocrisy is not the answer
As someone who is pretty conservative myself, it sickens me that these high profile guys keep messing up and making us all look bad. Makes my job that much harder. Well, enjoy. No rights reserved or implied.
