Song Parodies -> Sand on my Skin
| Original Song Title: | "Dust in the Wind" |
| Original Performer: | Kansas |
| Parody Song Title: | "Sand on my Skin" |
| Parody Written by: | Mari Aranoff |
We're not in Kansas anymore! This is my first parody in a few years. Be gentle (unlike the sand below).
On this nude beach
I spread sunscreen over every body part
Seconds pass
Then a windstorm kicks up, spoiling everything
Sand on my skin
Getting cold with sand on my skin
What a drag
Stinging, burning, chafing, smarting, and no fun
People laugh
Watching as I scratch while naked in the sun
Sand on my skin
All this effin’ sand on my skin
So I’m in pain
Wind gets stronger, rubbing me in the wrong way
I look around
Now all my clothes are also gone and blown away
Clothes in the wind
Cold and bare with clothes in the wind
(All exposed and bare in the wind)
Clothes in the wind
(Sand in every orifice and skin)
Wish it was just dust in the wind
Can’t win
I spread sunscreen over every body part
Seconds pass
Then a windstorm kicks up, spoiling everything
Sand on my skin
Getting cold with sand on my skin
What a drag
Stinging, burning, chafing, smarting, and no fun
People laugh
Watching as I scratch while naked in the sun
Sand on my skin
All this effin’ sand on my skin
So I’m in pain
Wind gets stronger, rubbing me in the wrong way
I look around
Now all my clothes are also gone and blown away
Clothes in the wind
Cold and bare with clothes in the wind
(All exposed and bare in the wind)
Clothes in the wind
(Sand in every orifice and skin)
Wish it was just dust in the wind
Can’t win
A live performance of my old Christmas parody is now on YouTube. The URL is too hard, so just search for "gazinkus" and "parody" and it will come right up! Also, feel free to pass it on! (Yeah, too many prepositions ending sentences with)

Good to see you back! Can you sing this like Cartmen from South Park? Funny stuff :)
a truly gritty performance...checked out your christmas video too....dug it
555 - And here I just complain about sand in my shoes in a golf sand trap. I did check out your video - Amen on that, nice singing too.
Sir, i love the sight of clothes blowing in the wind, especially the kind on the old-fashinoned line, all clean & washed . . .
he he
Everyone, thanks for the nice comments, and for checking out the video! It's nice to be back! And Jeff, does singing it like Cartman mean singing the way he did "Come, Sail Away?" Um, maybe...
Good writing job. OK, now I have to find the actual video so I can listen to it.
