It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas
Soon will barely show.
Take a look at the papers, then listen to broadcasts when
ACLU and atheists say "No!"

They'll be spinning it crooked, not like Christmas;
Poisoning the lore.
Let the piteous Right decree that it's folly they foresee
If we close that door.

Impair historical roots; the Epistles are hoots,
They are wishful fancies of men.
Prophetic talk we now proffer to mock;
Our new hope is fantastic Zen.
And parents glad can hardly wait for cool snow sports again.

If we no longer book a spot for Christmas,
All things fair will go.
No more Trees in strand public dwell, none in the park to tell
The sturdy mind that was too blind to know:

The beginning of Peace is not just Christmas,
But it spells a start.
It will spring you awake to sing this new carol and to bring
Bright gifts in your heart.
