Having just returned from vacation in Hilton Head Island, South Carolina, I know that this is true! Ouch!
Sunburn on my shoulders makes me cranky.
Sunburn on my ears can make me cry.
Sunburn on my body looks so ugly.
Sunburn always makes me want to die.
If I could have started today over,
I would have used my sunscreen faithfully.
Even though it made my skin cold, I would try
To use the stuff because it'd protect me.

I lay on the beach too long a time.
I thought I'd come away with a gorgeous tan,
But now I'm home and all I do is whine.

Great parody. I can understand because I live in Vegas and have to put on sunscreen every time I walk out there.

Joelle, Nice "Midsummer's Lament" here. It's out of season for most of us on the North American Continent now (Elsewhere? I don't know; Aussie, Phil, anybody, where DOES the sun parch and torment it's worshippers this time of year? I'm mostly a "avoid too much sun" paleface anyway). Score here? My creaky old finger joints are still able to reach to the "5" key just above the "r" and "t" and supply enough impact 3 times to recognize your work here.
