well, friday...'bout a week ago
charlie was surprised
by the school's monkey bars, sat a girl full of glory
her red hair sure looked nice

well, he cast his eyes upon her
and he longed to be her man
but charlie brown started guessin' he'd be stressin'
so he jumped up and turned and ran
