Interesting subject with the parallel of the father to the gnomes. Really liked the line "I'm your Father - It's my money" Pacing a bit rough - could be better, but not too bad. You really need to do some grammar study with your/you're and there/their/they're however. :)
Trolls are a '"Must for the Garden ", Sir ! SummerWinds had a series of naked GardenTrolls(quite pricey, too) that I placed in discrete places on the Campagna . . . Quite a surprise for the Cowboy who stumbles upon these Beastly Characters. . . .
