The legend lives on from holiday nights on down
Of the lights on the tree, they were strung to shine so bright,
The season was near, the tree standing tall and clear,
But trouble brewed unseen in the twinkling lights' sheer might.
The tale of dismay, the faulty bulbs held at bay,
Each strand hung with care, every socket aglow,
Yet in the dead of night, one bulb ceased its light,
The beginning of a saga that would soon start to grow.

The search did commence, in sockets they peered intense,
Each bulb checked and changed, but the fault stayed hidden well,
For hours they toiled, frustration uncoiled,
As darkness reigned supreme in this Christmas tale's spell.

But the section stayed dark, refusing to ignite,
An electrical quest, a relentless, tense test,

With patience wearing thin, they questioned the whole din,

A tiny bulb misfit, oh, how they all heaved!

Their brilliant display, in harmony they gleam,

The wreck of the faulty Christmas tree lights,
Where finding the culprit takes long, dreary nights,
