| Original Song Title: | "The Wreck Of The Edmond Fitzgerald " |
| Original Performer: | Gordon Lightfoot |
| Parody Song Title: | "The Legend Of Larry Fitzgerald" |
| Parody Written by: | Mark Scotti |
We needed a parody for Superbowl Weekend!!!
His legend lives on from the playoffs on down
To the big game they call the Super Bowl,
The players have said they're in fear of his dreads,
As Larry makes the field look so roomy
With such speed like the wind, to the pass at the end,
Then one Larry Fitzgerald turns down field
That catch was so true and the Cardnals all knew
Larry's into the end zone so early
The game was a fight and the Steelers thought why
Can't they slow this reciever on Sunday
As the passing game grew, Larry turned black and blue,
But he pulled down his catches without fear
The Steelers came back, and Kurt Warner got sacked,
And the Cards and their game were in peril
But later a drive with a pass out of sight,
Came the catch of one Larry Fitzgerald
All the faithful Cards fans, in Tampa they prayed,
As the defenders were down to just several
The game clock chimed that it ran out of time,
But who scored was one Larry Fitzgerald
His legend lives on from the playoffs on down
To the big game they call the Super Bowl,
Legends, they said, never should have wore red
But the fans of Arizona scream Larry!
To the big game they call the Super Bowl,
The players have said they're in fear of his dreads,
As Larry makes the field look so roomy
With such speed like the wind, to the pass at the end,
Then one Larry Fitzgerald turns down field

Wasn't the song longer than that?
Yes, it was, but I wanted to get it out fast, prior to the Superbowl. I almost feel like Nostradamus as the tale almost came true.....
