I take this all in wi--ith stunned baffled grief
And hope for the news that Bin Laden will self-destruct

CNN on, broadcast droning, euphemistic
Turbanned puppets spread their gospels through the smokescreen
Mad extremist claiming hayseeds are crusaders
Suburb dwellers wave their flags, but don't go shopping.

I take this all in wi--ith stunned disbelief

Anthrax letters leaking plague dust going postal
Hero Yankees ushered out on backs of diamonds
Stunned Afghanis shave their beards and go out dancing
Shrub has NOT changed, talks of missles to Tsar Putin.

I wait while the world a-and life go-oes on
