"Goodbye Gilligan"

Parody Written by:

The Lyrics

Goodbye Gilligan
Though I never knew you at all
You were Skipper's little buddy
At his beck and call.
You messed up all those rescues
Yeah you're the one to blame
You did the best that you can
You're lovable just the same

And it seems to me that you lived your life
Like a clueless castaway
Never knowing what to do
When the rain set in
You forgot to draw the sail that day
On that three hour tour
Dooming us to endless reruns
Your legend never dies

Island paradise
But with the girls it's no dice
It's enough to make a first mate cry
And that's not a sailor's lie
Hey little buddy
Where did you go off to now?
Did they come to rescue you?
Mr. Denver we will always love you

Goodbye Bob Denver
From young Dobie to Gilligan
All of your episodes play and play again
Your legend lives for the next gen.

I might have taken a different tack, but we both posted Gilligan tributes in our own way today, Kim - welcome back - 555

One verse of "The City of New Orleans," two verses of "Candle In the Wind." People, if you're gonna do a song, do the whole song, unless there's a "short version" and a "long version" and we already know that fact.

If you wish to protest about length of my song, then petition to have the song removed Mr. Pacholek. I'll gladly abide by Chucky's decision in this matter.

Thank you Stuart for your review. I think I have one more song to do, and then, I think I'll be on my way again.

to quote another 60s TV gem...

travellin'...around from town to town
sometimes...I think I'll settle down
but I know I hunger to be free
roamin's the only life for me
a'driftin'....the world is my friend....etc.
