Nice parody, but the pacing at the beginning is waaaay off. Where did that long line come from? Is there a different version from the one I have: "The mountain is high The valley is low And you're confused On which was to go So I've come here To give you a hand And lead you right into the promised land"
I hate explaining stuff like this because it means it didn't work. But the (I thought) obviously exaggerated length of the line was supposed to be funny in itself. Thanks for taking the time to comment.
I got the joke with the long line. I salute your attempt to try something new in a pardody format. (My only complaint is that songs about Bush, the war, Saddam, Bin Laden and politics in general were getting old about a month ago!)
