The Lyrics

In the 3 years of the USFL, the Philadelphia Stars took the last 2 titles in the league's history. The team is coached by Jim Mora and features a handful of, well, stars. Here is a tribute to those stars.
Yeah, ah, ha
The Philadelphia Stars
The last 2 years came very far, yeah
Title games became a dream
Life for football's what it seems, oh yeah
Made their future pretty clear
Won titles the last 2 years

Philadelphia Stars
is what the fans are
Shining bright to see
but not in '83
but not in '83

Time for sideline interviews
Cameras watch their every move, yeah
Give the football, run it on
Defense gave them big & strong. yeah
Born in Philadelphia, yeah
Their Teamwork has just begun, yeah
One title in Philly stood alone, yeah
3rd season moved to Baltimore, oh yeah

Front page papers were in need
of a #1 playoff seed, yeah
Title game's here, call the band
Did they win it, yes they can!

Philadelphia Stars
is what the players are
Shining bright to see
but not in '83

Baltimore and Then Philly,
Stars' a nickname team to be

My dad actually went to the final game when Baltimore won it. We had season tickets. I can't believe anyone else remembers the Phi/Balt Stars.

The Stars may have won two championships, but their stadium was for the Byrds. Long live Kelvin Bryant!
