Il Divo is a music group formed in Europe, 4 impeccably dressed and handsome men in their twenties & thirties who sing arias and other classical music with a pop sensibility (not to mention covers of Frank Sinatra and Toni Braxton). Sort of like N'Sync for soccer moms. The kind of music you'd expect to hear in Starbucks or the perfume aisle at Nordstrom's. The name of the group means "the male diva" in Italian. My abiding thought about Il Divo...make it 5 bullets in case I miss one....this parody was fab! 555
555 ... and remember, "Devo" spelled sideways is "Dove".
I wanted so much for someone to make fun of these preening dolts! And if you think they're bad, G4 are worse. One of the guys looks like Paddy from Emmerdale (pig-like, with Mr. Incredible hair), and they murder classic songs in faux-operatic styles. They're going to murder one of Elvis Presley's this Saturday on ITV1's 'Elvis Mania' show. You have been warned!
It's really annoying now, whenever I tell someone my favorite band is DEVO, they think it's Il Divo... ugh... 555
