This is another of my Biblical parodies. I was inspired by TJC and his "My Favourite Mings", and I thought I could also try something similar.
First for ten tribes was first Jeroboam
His son Nadab was slain by Baasha -
Woe-o, Kings of Israelites!
Baasha was wicked and succeeded by Elah -
General Zimri slew him outright -
Woe-o, Kings of Israelites
Who were they loyal for?
Week after rose dynasty of Omri,
Ahab ruled a super-power -
Woe-o, Kings of Israelites
Ahaziah, Jezebel, Jehoram, then Jehu -
Joahaz ruled seventeen years
Woe-o, kings of Israelites
Cruel king, the Israelite.
I wonder how they survived.
Poor the, Israelite,
soon came the down-a-fall, sir
Jehoash he ruled at the time of Elijah,
Jeroboam second loved golden calf
Woe-o, kings of Israelites
Zacariah, then Shallum, Menachem, Pekaiah
Pekah pissed off the Assyrians -
Woe-o, kings of Israelites
The last and the worst of them all was Hoshea
He led kingdom on its final downfall
Woe-o, kings of Israelites
So this was the sad story of kings of ten tribes -
all them vanished and so long gone -
Woe-o, kings of Israelites
