A Graham Nash song here. I believe he said he wrote it while he was on the way to the airport after one of the others, Crosby, I think, was talking about how hard it was to write a song.
Just a bong before I go, some brains cells I will burn.
Are my feet still on the ground? You'd think that I would learn
When the toke was over, I found myself real stoned.
And when I walked out of the door I was completely zoned.
I found that I was shit-faced, had gotten way too high.
Tried to park in the carport, I guess that wasn't wise.
Landlord called Security, my stash was with my phone.
And when the police closed the door, I was in jail alone.
It was wrong to drive home stoned, someday perhaps I'll learn.
When you get those DUI's the judges now are stern.

Paul, in this same line, check out "Wasted on the Stage". You sound like you are a Stills fan. Do you play?
Rick D: Yes, I do like Stills. In fact I just picked up a live CD of a 1974 show (can't remember what venue it was from) and it's very good. Play? No, unfortunately I blew off my music lessons when I was a kid (my music teacher was a psycho lady with 100+ cats, I like cats, but not 100 in one place) and never learned to play. Wish I had, but.... Right now can't answer in real time since I only am on-line at work. I'll take a look at "Wasted on The Stage". I was working around with the original last night but didn't get too far and scrapped the idea I started with. Thanks.
