Original Performer:

Parody Song Title:

"Black Hole on the Right"

Parody Written by:

Susanna Viljanen

This is the end of the world as we know it - and I feel fine...
I see the blue event horizon
Cherenkov radiation too
I see the X-ray gauge a-brightening
I feel I'm stuck in time-space goo -

Don't go 'round tonight
it surely sucks big time
there's a black hole on the right!

I see accretion disk a-winding
I know the end is coming soon.
I feel the tidal force a-grinding
This thing will eat the Sun and Moon!

Don't go 'round tonight
it surely sucks big time
there's a black hole on the right!

Seems I've now gone all ergosspheric;
Seems I might soon go singular;
I'm spinning in space-time - quite pathetic!
Grav sling is only hope so far!

Don't go 'round tonight
it surely sucks big time
there's a black hole on the right!

Oh, it's about an actual black hole. (Or, at least, a theorized one.) I thought it would be about politics. But the "black hole" of the Bush Administration is not a black hole. It can be escaped.

Oh cool, a non-politic parody, 555!!! LOL No, seriously though--a lot of politic parodies today and while many of them were funny, it's nice to see some that aren't politically tied sometimes. . .

Great parody of a great late-60s' song! I think it's a clever idea...much better than "bathroom..." (which has probably been done a million times before). 5/5/5.
