Song Parodies -> Tomboy
| Original Song Title: | "Half Breed" |
| Original Performer: | Cher |
| Parody Song Title: | "Tomboy" |
| Parody Written by: | Mare Garrel |
This was inspired by the news of Cher's daughter Chastity becoming a man.
My daughter said she's having surgery
She said, "This being, it just isn't me."
I've always told her "You're a girl by law."
She'd say "I want to be like daddy, that's all."
Tomboy, that's all she's ever been
Tomboy, oh how I could never win
Tomboy, my daughter's now my son
How I tried to tell her since the day she was born
Never wore dresses, only shorts and pants
I should have seen it coming, blew my chance
Chastity's friends, their parents glared at me
"She lets her kid dress like a boy, you see..."
Tomboy, that's all she's ever been
Tomboy, oh how I could never win
Tomboy, my daughter's now my son
How I tried to tell her since the day she was born
I saw the news, eyes wide in disbelief
I couldn't take it, should I feel relief
Though I objected, she replied,
"But ma'am, I gotta do this 'cause it's who I am...."
Tomboy, that's all he's ever been
Tomboy, oh how I could never win
Tomboy, my daughter's now my son
How I tried to tell him since the day he was born
She said, "This being, it just isn't me."
I've always told her "You're a girl by law."
She'd say "I want to be like daddy, that's all."
Tomboy, that's all she's ever been
Tomboy, oh how I could never win
Tomboy, my daughter's now my son
How I tried to tell her since the day she was born
Never wore dresses, only shorts and pants
I should have seen it coming, blew my chance
Chastity's friends, their parents glared at me

Tomboy, that's all she's ever been

Tomboy, that's all he's ever been
