The Lyrics

This is another parody based on the local hardware store where I live (Paul's True Value Hardware). I think I truly need to get a life. Actually, they have been requested of me at various town functions, so there, there's my excuse. The store had a damaging fire last winter and this is about that:
Now EBS is too far,
Got no Walmart, got no Lowe's.
All I need is 5 screws
Oooh, I could use some Home Depot.

Now eveybody in Brooks
Was gettin' sick and gettin' tired
Since we heard that
Paul's was on Fire!

Now late at night
Before disaster struck the store,
Paul was keepin' Audrey up
With all the racket from his snores.

Now he'll deny it to this day,
But we know that he's a liar.
When he woke,
Paul's was on Fire!

Well, everybody chipped in and did their part.
They tried to put together what the fire tore apart.
Some gave time, and others gave food,
Others brought chili and it made us toot.

Well, Brian, Sandy, Audrey, Paul,
And other people you will find there.
They've brushed the soot out of their teeth
And they've gone back to sellin' hardware.

Well, they've got every thing you need
And everything you'd hope to find there.
Except one thing,
They're completely out of Fire!
