The parody i'm doing is from 1976, but the game didn't exist that year until 1978.
I looked at the arcade, there was a new one
Soul/Hip-Hop music on stereo blasting
I saw a machine I never played before
I put in token and pressed start to play

It's those Space Invaders (those Space Invaders)
And I hear the old sounds I still hear today
It's hard to believe in (hard to believe in)
Put my initials and walk away
Invaders go Left and Down and RIght
I shoot every one as my score goes by
Yet I keep on shootin' even when shields are gone
Put PJK and I walk away
(repeat chorus)
When I'm tired and want to go home
I'll still be the high scorer for the day
There's Burger King food on the kitchen stove
Until next time, I'll go back to play
Back to play....Back to play....
Those darn Space Invaders (Those Space Invaders)
And I'll keep shootin' one until they're all gone
