Parody Song Title:

"Late Great John Candy"

Parody Written by:

Eugene Levy

Hi i am Eugene Levy and this song parody is dedicated to my best bud John Candy.
Spoken intro:

Rick Moranis: This is a tribute to a fatman we all liked a lot.

Eugene Levy: His name was John F.Candy and he was one of us.

There lived a certain man in Canada long ago
He was big and fat, but he had a heart of gold
Most people looked at him with no hatred or fear
But to all people he was such a lovely dear
He could be funny and dramatic
Full of energy and fun
But he also was the kind of fat guy
Some people did admire.

Late great John Candy
Our country's chubby funnyman
There was a cat that really was gone
Late great John Candy
SCTV's happy big fat guy
It was a shame that he passed on.

He did some great roles on our show SCTV
And did great films like Spaceballs and Uncle Buck.
Throughout our state he was the man who simpy loved to please.
And he was so warm and soft that he was so good to squeeze.
For all of us he was just like Jackie Gleason
And we loved things he's done
We believed he had some real talent
He was warm like the sun.

Late great John Candy
Our country's chubby funnyman
There was a cat that really was gone
Late great John Candy
SCTV's happy big fat guy
It was a shame that he passed on.

(Spoken:)
But while his eating and drinking and his problems
with his weight weren't known to some people
His constant demands to lose weight became louder and louder.

"Oh Candy please don't go!" declared his closest friends.
and we all begged "John, We don't want to see you go."
No doubt this John Candy had lots of gith and charms.
Though he was a slob he could do almost no harm.
Then one night while he was filming his last movie
Which was titled Wagon's East.
"Something bad's going to happen" was what he said to his wife.
And his words were true.

Late great John Candy
Our country's chubby funnyman
Something bad did happen that night
Late great John Candy
SCTV's happy big fat guy
He had a heart attack and then he passed on.

Late great John Candy
our country's chubby funnyman
he was so sweet from feet up to his head
Late John Candy
SCTV's happy big fat guy
And it's so sad now because he is dead.

Spoken outro:

Eugene Levy: R.I.P Buddy.

Rick Moranis: You were so nice.

Dan Akroyd: Yeah. We miss you buddy!

Thank you thank you.

Yeah, John Candy was cool.

I agree. He was the best "unlikely" uncle figure ever! Sort of a prototype for Peter Griffin and Homer Simpson.
