The Lyrics

(instrumental opening)

I've seen the lights go out on Donald.
I saw his claim, "Deep State," laid low.
Life went on beyond the Everglades.
They all bought plea-bargains and left there long ago.

We held a concert out in West Palm
to watch his combover bridge blow.
He turned our advice down
that lying orange clown
and he went right on with the show!
Whoa oh...

I've seen the lights go out on Donald
from tiny hands to bad hairdo.
You know we almost didn't notice it.
We'd seen it all the time up on Fifth Avenue.

They held a party up in Harlem
and in the Spanish-speaking 'hoods.
The flames were everywhere
to cook the ribs-of-spare.
They always knew he was no good.
Whoa oh...

I've seen the lights go out on Donald.
I watched his many lawyers fall.
Jack Smith was waiting with obstruction charge.
He chose the time to strike, got Donald on them all.

He sent the documents from the White House
and thought he'd get away scot-free.
He knew they couldn't stay.
They blew his case away.
He should've begged them for a plea.
Whoa oh... Whoa oh...

You know those lights were bright on Donald.
But that was so many years ago.
Before he holed up there in Florida.
He left the wall unbuilt, unpaid by Mexico.

There are not many who remember
how many he'll hurt to survive.
We'll tell the world about
how Donald is a lout.
He'll never leave prison alive...

(instrumental close)

He thought he would get away Scot Free because he is (was) the President which means he is given plenary powers to declassify documents. So he has committed no crime. Plus, they were also completely secure in his safe room ... unlike the tens of thousands of E mails that were routed thru the unsecure server in Hillie's Powder Room, unlike the tens of thousands of E-mails she erased .. and unlike the thousands of Classified docs on the floor of Joe's garage

differences between Conald & the others ivolve intent + obstruction. trashing him is fun. don't hold back from doing more.

@CML - except that he is on tape saying that he didn't declassify those documents while he was still president, even if his "I could have done just by thinking about it" piffle held water. He also did his very best to obstruct the return of those documents, an action which was unlawful irrespective of the classification status. If Hillary Clinton had moved her email server to try and prevent its being seized by the DoJ; if she had been on tape discussing classified contents; if there had been any, well, actually classified documents insecurely stored, then your pathetic attempt at whataboutery might have a bit of foundation. But that's all it is: trying to claim some kind of double standard in prosecution is utterly laughable. And "Completely secure in his safe room"??? Hahahahahahaha. Do you have no critical thinking facilities whatsoever?

The most difficult thing is going to be finding a jury that hasn't made up their mind already: even on the evidence published so far, it's hard to see how any rational inspection couldn't end up with a guilty verdict.

Yeah Phil, I still have some facilities of reason, and one thing these facilities tell me is that, even as you set your hair on fire about some document located in a safe in a safe room in a mansion guarded by Secret Service agents, you seem to be unconcerned about, for example Hillary's infinitely greater breach of security protocols by using her own private server which WAS compromised by foreign intel sevices. And as for obstruction of justice, do you have anything to say about how the Empress Hilarius Seizure deleted 33,000 E-Mails that were demanded by Congress. Each deletion by itself is a felony, and if the same warfare logic was applied to her as is being applied to Trump, she should be sentenced to prison for the duration of our current geological epoch ... And then we could go on about the thousands of documents strewn about Joe Biden's Garage, and the massive security breaches by Barack Obama

BTW, how did Barry O compromise our security? Well, late in his term one of our drones fell out of the sky into Iranian territory .. and instead of ordering it to be destroyed, he did nothing. Because that would have compromised a deal to allow Iran, a nation with an apocalyptic vision for the end of humanity, to develop a nuke. And before you know it, I'll be damned, Iran suddenly has a state of the art drone, which they handed over to their Houthi allies who used them to attack Sa'udi oil fields (Oh, but lets not overreact, folks). They have also supplied them to Russia, who have used them to great effect against Ukraine. But let's keep our eye on Trump, the TRUE national security threat. You the one we must tamp down even if it starts an all out civil war.

Doesn't seem like you will ever understand, CML. Bathrooms and closets are not "safe rooms", for one thing. There wasn't "thousands of items in his garage" for another. If Pence was a Dem, you would scream the same--although a Dem-led administration has given him (a very likely justified) free pass as they had with Hillary. Stop following the lies of your right-wing news media. Lastlu, https://apnews.com/article/trump-indictment-clinton-classified-documents-republican-claims-7681bc9807ecd8bc37fd3f39b9756cc7

Wow, look at all the one-bombs. The other side must REALLY be scared now.

CML - In a safe? In a safe room? I dunno where you get your news from, CML, but neither of those things were true. And they were moved to avoid a court subpoena: were they transported inside this illusory safe, with a Secret Service escort? If you honestly believe you have some facilities of reason, at least try to use them.

It's funny: I've heard Bill Barr (Trump's former Attorney General) and John Bolton (Trump's former National Security Adviser) and assorted other Republican luminaries all saying how very seriously wrong what Trump has done is; the ones still trying to curry favour with his base do try and pretend what HRC did with emails was somehow worse, therefore Trump's prosecution is political and there are double standards over there.. but hearing the likes of Jim Jordan saying some of the most logic-free jumps of free-association to try and make out that Trump was well within his rights for everything he did is brain-destroying. If that's the best defence Trump has, he's toast.

And then there's the man himself: listen to the words Trump speaks and ask yourself if that person has even the most tenuous grasp on sanity. Don't let his sense of victimhood and indignation wash over you in a torrent of verbal porridge: try actually listening to every word. The man is very obviously insane. And something very similar could be said for anyone who wants this lunatic back in the White House.

I dont give a damn what Barr has to say; hes getting more Deep State sh@rtweasely by the moment. It is beyond dispute that the President of the United States has plenary (absolute) power to declassify any document he pleases. Thats why no one is setting their hair on fire about Joe Biden. We just use it as an example of actual negligence that is a thousand times worse than what Trump is doing ..... BTW, if you're so concerned about US security, shouldn't you be up in arms about the fact that the Russians now know everything about NATO's satelite surveilance system, and how to counter it, as well as how our air defense system works, mot to mention the fact that they can now jam virtually any of our cruise missile guidance systems. I mean your govt just gave Ukraine NATO's Britains most potent cruise missile. If Ukraine gets a little carried away and uses one on Moscow, Russia might get a little annoyed. And of course what Russia knows, China and Iran also know. But F-troop to all that, lets get back to the REAL threat
CML - June 19, 2023 - Report this comment
Whoops, Im wrong about Joe. He wasnt the President at the time he took those documents and stuffed them into the glove compartment of his Sting Ray. So he had no plenary power to declassify. So every one of those documents IS a violation of the law. And Hillary didn't have plenary power either. Well, no wonder they werent prosecuted for crime .. they actually WERE commiting crimes
Phil Alexander - June 19, 2023 - Report this comment
You're obsessed CML: seems like every politician leaving office over there has taken papers home. A bit like everyone at the time (including the RNC) running their own mailserver, but you only care about Hillary. But only one has lied about the presence of what he'd taken, their declassification (you know he only thought about declassifying documents post hoc when he needed it as a defence); tried to hide them after a court order.

You don't like Barr? Yeah, what kind of idiotic incompetent might possibly have made him AG?
Phil Alexander - June 21, 2023 - Report this comment
..and what about that latest interview? His defence: "I told my lawyers to tell lies while I actively obstructed a court subpoena because I didn't have time to go through those documents as there might have been golf shirts in the boxes"?? He really does think that the law doesn't apply to him, doesn't he?

Any normal person would be going to jail for what he has done, though they would probably be in jail already for other things he has done (e.g. his "charitable" foundation fraud); yes, as many Republicans are currently claiming, you have a two-tier justice system over there, but Trump is most definitely not in the "being victimized" side.
