Parody Song Title:

"Woofie"

Parody Written by:

2Eagle

Another sentimental doggie song about a certain comic strip character who obviously is a golden retriever.
An ordinary day last fall,
Strolling through the shopping mall.
Something caught my eye -
A pup in the window,
Wagging his tail,
His bright eyes aglow.
I took you home and made you mine,
You're mine only Vawentine.
Now springtime is here -
It seems like overnight,
You're ninety pounds of golden fur,
A bundle of lovelight - oh Woofie!

You gave and you never stop giving -
It costs a fortune to feed you, but Woofie,
Who else could give living such meaning -
My best investment is in you - oh Woofie!

I go walking in the door -
You come and knock me to the floor.
We're caught up in a whirl of doggie playing -
Licking me all o'er,
Slobbering and drooling - oh Woofie!

You wuv me and never stop wuving -
I'm always stepping in dog doo - but Woofie,
Without you I would have nothing -
People envy me with you - oh Woofie!

Everyday I walk you in the morning,
Laughing in the dew.
Your fur is glistening - oh Woofie!

A pedegree's a mere piece of paper -
To me you're a champion - oh Woofie,
You wuv kitties and all living creatures,
And even the mailman - oh Woofie!

Eh, "Mandy" was originally written as a tribute to a missing dog, so I really don't feel too amused by this. Which comic strip is this referring to?
2Eagle - August 24, 2005 - Report this comment
Mutts. I didn't know Mandy was about a missing dog, so just think of it as a more cheerful version of the original song.
