The Lyrics

There are actually five verses to this theme song, but I wrote two
(first verse)
Boy, the money that we made
At our jobs, we sure got paid
The 90's, we had it made
Those were the days

And you knew you had a job
That stuff never hit the fan
Mister, we could use a man
like William Clinton again

A low unemployment rate
and there was no real debate
That the dot-com boom was great
Those were the days

(second verse)
The Clinton economy
was a thing of pure beauty
It was like a money tree
Those were the days

And the stocks were going up
spent money like we were nuts
and there were no mass layoffs
because of short-term budget cuts

Bankruptcies were never filed
CEO's were not reviled
and Wall Street was going wild
Those were the days!

This is funny. Some of the stresses are a little alkward, though. "THE clin-TON, e-CON-omy" sounds weird, since you have to put the stress on 'the'. It would be a little better if you said, for example, "BILL clin-TON's e-CON-omy". Just a suggestion. But this is good.
