From a warm and sunny windowsill-sleep
Wakes a groggy and aloof feline

She comes out of the sun
In her fur dress
Stun-ning as a tiger lily in the rain

Don't bother speaking
No hu-man words can
Penetrate the great disdain...

She's proud and pays no mind to questions
As she jumps in your lap and purrs
And you swallow pride and sense she wants affection
You scratch behind her ears

By the french window near the patio
There's a kitten-door that's just for her

She flails her tail, and, dashes out
To chase a mouse she overheard...

No bath she needs
The vet takes her to find
