| Original Song Title: | "Ramblin' Man" |
| Original Performer: | Allman Brothers |
| Parody Song Title: | "Scramblin' Man" |
| Parody Written by: | A Room Full Of Monkeys |
Lord, I was born a scramblin' man
Fryin' up some bacon and a-throwin' some eggs in a pan
When it's time for eatin', I hope that you like Spam
Cause I was born a scramblin' man
My father was a Catholic priest in Boston
And he wound up on the wrong end of a nun
They kept things real quiet and discreet-like
They sold me to a Waffle House at one
Lord, I was born a scramblin' man
Fryin' up some bacon and a-throwin' some eggs in a pan
When it's time for eatin', I hope that you like Spam
Cause I was born a scramblin' man
I'm on my way back east to meet my Father
I bet he'll be surprised when he sees me
I'll help him out with his parish pancake breakfast
Then whack him with my skillet painfully
Lord, I was born a fam-less man
Fryin' up revenge and then a-cookin' up a fiendish plan
When it's time for beatin', his hide I'm gonna tan
Cause I was born a fam-less man
Fryin' up some bacon and a-throwin' some eggs in a pan
When it's time for eatin', I hope that you like Spam
Cause I was born a scramblin' man
My father was a Catholic priest in Boston
And he wound up on the wrong end of a nun
They kept things real quiet and discreet-like
They sold me to a Waffle House at one
Lord, I was born a scramblin' man
Fryin' up some bacon and a-throwin' some eggs in a pan
When it's time for eatin', I hope that you like Spam
Cause I was born a scramblin' man
I'm on my way back east to meet my Father
I bet he'll be surprised when he sees me
I'll help him out with his parish pancake breakfast
Then whack him with my skillet painfully
Lord, I was born a fam-less man
Fryin' up revenge and then a-cookin' up a fiendish plan
When it's time for beatin', his hide I'm gonna tan
Cause I was born a fam-less man

You must be on a roll today. Lot's of clever lines. For a moment there I thought this was going to be about the gangs of New York with the priest being a 'father'.
Great line ==> And he wound up on the wrong end of a nun. Keep 'em comin'.

Is there a right side of a nun?
ROFL ......................................Sick! that's what you are. It's almost so absurd, it could actualy be true!
Thanks you all. And Spaff: There is a right end of a nun; I'd show you but It's a nasty habit & I'm trying to quit.
Huh-huh. You said nasty habits. Are those the ones made of leather?
Claude , This is right up there with Malky's "I Shot The Parrot " My two picks of the week. Wild and I have such fun reading parodies this week!!!
very fun to read, Claude
Very Funny! I'd roll on the floor laughing, but considering that this is a room full of monkeys, it's probably best to stand. Since I was the 5th voter, anyway, I just went ahead and made it fives across the board.
Very good Melhi, I noticed that you did not abbreviate. Due to to my dyslexia. I once Rolled on a laughing floor.
Way the by Claude: The defintition of "SICK" in Biker lingo: Is a good thing! The best !

You were egg-specting all fives? You got 'em! I saw the title and thought this was going to be about a quarterback, but "wrong end of a nun" made this a touchdown.
The nun was funny, but it was the Spam that got me! :-D
Thanks all; you guys are second to nun
Better late for your fives than never.
As I was driving in my Saturn stache the other day, I was kind of hummin' "Ramblin' Man" and pondering possible parodies, one of which was "Scramblin' Man" - but now I see you got to it before me - so here are your three 5's and a big congratulations as well.
Well-written, hilarious segue/ending. And a mention of that 'lovely Spam, wonderful Spam' doesn't hurt either. 555
