Packed up the Caravan on a rainy Friday nite
Hope by Sunday morn, we'll sight, Orlando
I'm not braggin'
On this freeway, we are shaggin'
My old Dodge..
Slicin' fog in early dawn..
Guided by GPS..turned on
At our garage..

Getting closer now, Orlando
Every crossroad, every truckstop
Gives us more anxiety..
There are signs that say, Orlando
Our six kids and Maw and me..
We didn't have the green to fly..
Eat at rest stops on the way
Stuff Tuna salad and potato chips, we buy.

Disney World will be our destinate..
Can't hardly wait, Orlando..
If the money holds out, Sea World, too
We're gonna' do, Orlando
Sure the kids could use new clothes and shoes
They'll get them yet..
At the city limits, stop for air
We're almost there, Orlando

Did you see that driver's tire spin..
Sign says we're in, Orlando

Now at Disney's gate, Orlando
And I have never seen so many people,
Oh my land!
The whole world is in Orlando
We never thought that it would be
This crowded, when we planned.
Helicopters fill the skies,
We'd better tie ourselves together
And hold hands..

Standing hours in long lines, we wait,
But it's still great, Orlando
Zoomed to Magic Kingdom, without fail,
By Monorail, Orlando
And if we had not run out of cash,
We'd be there yet...
Had to sell the van and hitchhike some,
But got home from, Orlando..

Yes, had to sell the Dodge and hobo some
But we're back from, Orlando..

Plan to get the kids good jobs, and then
We'll go again, Orlando..
