Song Parodies -> Party City!
| Original Song Title: | "Mamma Mia!" |
| Original Performer: | ABBA |
| Parody Song Title: | "Party City!" |
| Parody Written by: | Michael T. Mondak |
Since I parodied "Look at me, I'm Sandra Dee", I felt like parodying another song from a Broadway musical. This time I am parodying "Mamma Mia!" When I am visiting friends in the Pittsburgh area, I always go to the Party City in Pleasant Hills wearing the necessary socks, shoes, slacks, and the ever - present Lemieux Tournament shirt.
I was losing morale
And I think you know why
So I thought up a plan
That would get me balloons
Look what I have
Guess what it is
What? You don't know?
But I suddenly lose morale
There's a spirit within me now
Just one look
And I can boost some morale
One more look
And I forget all my cares
Oh oh oh oh
Party City
Here I come again
Hey, hey
For lots more balloons
Party City
I'll show up again
Hey, hey
Wearing a Lemieux shirt
Yes, I've been losing morale
Since I gave up theater
Why, why, did I ever give it up?
Party City
Now I know right now
Hey, hey
I should not have gave it up
I was angry and sad
When I knew I was done
I can't count all the things
That caused me to be gone
Look what I have
Guess what it is
What? You don't know?
But I suddenly lose morale
There's a spirit within me now
Just one look
And I can boost some morale
One more look
And I forget all my cares
Oh oh oh oh
Party City
Here I come again
Hey, hey
For lots more balloons
Party City
I'll show up again
Hey, hey
Wearing a Lemieux shirt
Yes, I've been losing morale
Since I have up theater
Why, why, did I ever give it up?
Party City
Now I know right now
Hey, hey
I should not have gave it up
(Michael: What the hell are you all doing here? Well, I'd like to chat, but my morale is low that I need red and baby blue balloons.
Laura: Did the balloons catch your eye?
Charlotte: They certainly must have.
Callie: Yes, I agree with all of you.)
Just one look
And I can boost some morale
One more look
And I forget all my cares
Oh oh oh oh
Party City
Here I come again
Hey, hey
For lots more balloons
Party City
