Parody Written by:

The Lyrics

Okay, somebody had to do this.
When the brains
Are in season
I’m a hungry guy
Pickled lobes
Cerebellum quiches
And then I’ll fry
Up tasty glands

And if I had a mind to
Nibble hands
Till thoughtful treat has come
For when brains are in season
I'm frothing

I obtained
(what’s his name)
Maybe Danny
(spicy laddie this dish)
Quite a dish he be.

His medulla
(in a stew-a)
Mighty fine
(squeeze of lime cook slow)
Cook slow then add his rack of ribs.

Really I’m not pro meat
I can’t stop
A zombie thing you know
When the brains are in season
I'm gobbling

Frightened dame
(I attained)
Maybe nanny
(or a granny I swear)
A delicious treat

Salt is shaken
(add some bacon)
In a brine
(mighty fine then throw)
Then throw on “Kiss the Zombie” bib

You may think I’m lowly
That’s just rot
My diet’s apropros
When the brains are in season
I’m noshing.

Sounds like food for thought...and good parody for the Halloween season

Can't believe that you were the first to take such a ridiculous band name like "The Zombies" and make it about actual zombies. Very clever!

Eat all of it...a mind is a terrible thing to waste! Great job, Warren. ;D

I have wanted to do zombies on the zombies. Cool to see someone do it.

Warren, welcome back! Can't believe I'm missing all your great parodies! This is a really good one and enjoyed this one lots! I'm also glad to see you working on this parody as well...if someone had to do this one, well, it might as well be you, right? I would love to try cerebellum quiches and Danny's rack of ribs on your menu. Like Marge Simpson, I'll also have the baby guts if you decide to add that to your menu. This satire is a "no brainer", that's for sure 555 zombies a la carte on this one!

AFW- Thanks for the v/c. I've got at least one more Halloween parody coming this month. Hope that's as well received as this one.
Matthias- I was pretty surprised myself when I found out it hadn't been done, so I ran with it. Or should I say 'lurched with it'? Thanks for the kind words.
OMR- Tasty comment! Thanks for the v/c. And could you pass the Texas Pete?
Ann- Thanks for the comment. I was thinking there are so many weird band names out there, which means there are plenty of sendups to be had. The Monkees, Herman's Hermits, Captain and Tennille, Supertramp...
2Eagle- Thanks for the v/c. Perhaps could I interest you in some Vogon poetry? (http://thebloggingbaker.blogspot.com/2010/09/vogon-poetry-corner-volume-1.html).
Mark S.- Some people say it's just mind over matter. I think it's just mind over easy with some garlic and sauteed onions ;-) Thanks for the v/c!
Christie- Thanks for the welcome Christie. Work has been very hectic lately, and writing time has been placed on the back burner. Thanks so much for the nice words, and it's fun to be back. (LOL@Marge!)
FG- It's fun being creepy without being placed in prison. And I'm glad you liked the 'bib' line. It was a last minute addition, and it wasn't in my original draft. Glad I kept it in! Thanks so much for the v/c's.
