JESUS CHRIST! WHERE’S A BAR?

At this time when all is closed
Don’t know what to do.
They said things would be OK,
But it wasn’t true.
Had the fridge full to the brim
With my favourite drink,
But over time I have drunk the lot,
Now I’m on the brink.

Need to break the rules,
Find myself a service station;
Hope to find one open,
If I don’t, it’s such frustration!

Jesus Christ! Where’s a bar?
I need a drink and I’ve come so far.
Jesus Christ! Help me here,
I want a place that will serve me beer.
Jesus Christ! Can’t you tell
Without a drink I’m a living Hell.
Jesus Christ! Can’t you see
Dying of thirst and it’s killing me.

Tell me where to go
As I have searched far and wide.
I asked my next-door neighbour
But the bugger, he lied.
Told me he had driven to
An out-of-town store,
But when I went I was told “No luck!”
They didn’t any more.
Now I feel like Death warmed up,
Half the time I’m crying.
Something deep inside of me
Says don’t give up, keep trying.
