The Lyrics

Of course, a man must sing this song. Some of the words need to be stretched out a bit to fit the original song, but it does work.
Well I'm a guy, naturally,
but that might be hard to see...
I'm not restricted by society.
People say, "my oh my,
what the hell's wrong with that guy?"
but I just turn to them, and I say...
I'm a drag queen!
just accept it please, cause I...
wear heels, and lipstick made by
You once thought of me
as a normal guy in jeans.
Now you see how 'pretty' I can be.
Oh, it takes hours to prepare,
'till I finally look like Cher,
But I hear that she takes more time than me....
I'm a drag queen!
Don't ask what it means, I'm just-
really secure wi-th my...
I'm a drag queen!
Head to toe in gleam, all the...
kids lo-ve it at the grade school-
where I teach.
Just a drag queen!
Everywhere I'm seen..wearing..
high heels, blue lipstick and some-
red mayboleen.
I'm a drag queen!
just accept it please, cause I...
look better in a size 9, than you could dream...

I get the sense that a video to this song would enhance the humor.

I actually know a pre-op transgendered school teacher... well, former teacher. She didn't want to make a scene or force herself on anyone, so she resigned, quietly, as a man. She's not a drag queen, though. Some people are both, but there is a difference. Anyway, I got a laugh out of Cher taking longer to achieve the drag queen look than an actual drag queen. Quite possibly true. Just pretty? Honey, don't be so modest, you *know* you're fabulous! You go girl! ;)

Again, great job, Darth. You have a quirky sense of humor and you seem to understand how to ratchet up the absurdity as a song builds. I would suggest (without meaning to offend in any way) that keeping your pacing closer to the original can really help a song be funnier. I would have tried something like "Drag Queen Deceiver" or "Drag Queen Schoolteacher". Best of luck and I'll keep reading your stuff. d;:^)
