It's a day of consumerist "joy"
What's it cost for this hyped dream?
Steamin' about for lots of new "toys"?

If you've no cash, take a credit ride
With lots of interest added too besides
It blows you away to give all others fun
You're up to your eyes in debt before the dawn

I'm just here lettin' off steam
I bin steamin' since last Jan-u-ary
It scars me right through the neat spring
It set's the tone to making me wary

It's not meant to be about what you got
It's been taken over by a consumerist plot
I'm gonna blow a fuse and break the code
Next year I'll try it in a different mode

But then I'm sure it'll come like blight
My Yuletide scream gone outasight
Tomorrow I'll pay again despite the fears
Don't want my loved ones left in tears
