The Lyrics

I see that harried look upon your face.
You've got your troubles; I've got mine.
Your company has failed; you've lost your place.
You've got your troubles; I've got mine.

I too have got no work today.
My hopes and dreams got blown away...

So, just like you, I wonder why I try.
You've got your troubles; I've got mine.
They'll get back to you, they say; that's a lie.
You've got your troubles; I've got mine.

Recovery's a myth also, woe, oh, oh, oh...
My last payday was years ago, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh...
The leaders' squawking is all jive-talking;
Their pay-ay-ay all comes from you, ooh, ooh, ooh, ooh, ooh,
Ooh, ooh, ooh, ooh, ooh, ooh, ooh...

So please forgive me if I say: tough luck.
(Forgive me if I say that, dude, it must suck eggs to be you.)
You've got your troubles; I've got mine.
(Oh, ain't it true?)
I'm unemployed and I can't spare a buck.
(You see, I've lost my, lost my, lost my career track too.)
You've got your troubles; I've got mine.

You've got your troubles; I've got mine.
You've got your troubles; I've got miiiiiiiiiiiiine!

I now realize the "shovel-ready jobs" meant digging through the towering mounds of governmental bullsh*t! LOL ;D

Heartfelt Fives to see an "Immoral Liberal" admit that "The leaders' squawking is all jive-talking". A lot of people who voted for O must be very disillusioned; the polls confirm this. Congrats on having the guts to state the truth.

Uh, the placement of the apostrophe *after* "leaders" indicates that this possessive is plural. In other words, the "squawking" is from *all* the leaders, not just the big O.

The Democrats still control both houses of Congress, if not by a super-majority any more, though they had one for a year and a half, as well as controlling the White House. Anyone with an MBA in Economics, like myself, would have told you that all the bailouts, cash-for-clunkers, and other ways of trying to spend yourself rich were doomed from the start. Some of us *did* say so, including in parody form.. (You want links? Be happy to oblige!)

I DK thi's new writer, and the misuse of apostrophe's ha's become epidemic, especially for its/it's. Saw one today, but no need to comment. I suppose that thi's writer should have been given the benefit of the doubt, but that doesn't change the fact that O is the Leader Of The Pack, and that that whole pack has only made the situation worse.

Your point is well taken. I amend my comment to: "A lot of people who voted Democratic, for Congress and the White House, must be very disillusioned".

btw, FWIW, pundits of all persuasions gave O's coattails credit for that massive change of power in Congress. Class dismissed.

Good stuff, IL. Hope the part about your being unemployed is fictitious. Don't think I saw anything on your Facebook page about your getting laid off.
