Parody Written by:

The Lyrics

when's this movie over ?
when's this movie over ?, eh ?
when's this movie over ?
turn on the lights
turn on the lights
turn on the lights
when's this movie over ?
when's this movie over ?
when's this movie over ?
turn on the lights
turn on the lights
turn on the lights

for this movie...may not...ever end
guess i...should have...worn "depends"
recommended by my friends
but it won't end...but it won't end...but it won't end

cancel my appointments...hope there's...no objections
send my condolences for...missed connections
i've got to stay inside

it seems like this movie won't stop
my eyelids are startin' to drop
i wish it'd end...i'm tired, i cry
wish i could be...outside

i start to sink...into a...deep sleep
its warm in here...its warm in here
i'd scream, but my throat is dry

sore back, baby...numbness in my arms
i'm gettin' tired of hangin' around
waitin' around, while this flick's windin' down
i wear a very angry frown
end i fear, is very far
very cross...i hate it here
but i paid...so i stay

why must i sit here and stir ?
why have they made such a long film, here
i guess i blundered...feel ripped off and bitter
stuck all my life...or at least until dawn
with no intermisions, it...drags...you...down
i wear a very angry frown
and my teeth are bein' ground
i want relief...and i want it...i want relief...and i want it
now...now ?...NOWWWWWWWWWWWWWWW !

lasts all night, babe..this ain't right, babe
BOGUS....JESUS...BOGUS

so when's this movie over ?
when's this movie over ?
when's this movie over ?
turn on the lights
turn on the lights
turn on the lights

oh, this movie..i don't...recommend
lest you have much time to spend
movies, you should...not attend
if they don't end...if they don't end...if they don't end

DKTOS, but thatīs exactly how I felt when I saw the enormously over-praised "The Royal Tennenbaums". :-(

Universally funny. Could apply to most of the junk being churned out by Hollywood.

UCLA Film School grads Jim Morrison and Ray Manzarek would definitely approve, as do I, author of "The Longest Film."

Now someone needs to do a parody of "Texas Radio & The Big Beat" to complete the triad of very long and overdone Doors tunes. 555

I agree with know I... about the Emperor's New Clothes that was 'The Royal Tenenbaums'! This parody makes me also think of getting 'Cold Mountain' out on DVD and wanting to whizz through Anthony Mingella and Sydney 'Never Mind The ' Pollack rabbiting on on Disc 2 so I could get to the musical bits (Jack White, Alison Krauss). Disc 1 also made me feel that Nicole Kidman plays herself in every flaming movie she's in. My heart sank when it was seen to be produced by the people that brought you that action-packed laughfest, 'The English Patient'!

Great job. You could have been stranded in space watching bad movies like Joel, Mike, Tom Servo, and Crow.
