The Lyrics

This parody needs a lot of explaining. Some years back when I was in high school, I started writing a novel about a family whose personalities and appearances were based on several of my favorite celebs at the time. The family matriarch was based on Madonna, her sisters were based on Paula Abdul and Cyndi Lauper, her daughters were based on actresses ranging from Alicia Silverstone to Sara Michelle Gellar and even as recent as Gwen Stefani. The hook to the novel were they were descendants of certain retired deities from mythology, and they were all immortal with certain mystical powers. You could think of it as "Dallas" crossed with "Hercules: The Legendary Journeys" and "Sabrina: The Teenage Witch." I never finished the novel, having become distracted by other projects, but this little ditty pretty much sums it up.
It's a story of a lovely lady
Who was bringing up eight very lovely girls
Four of them was a twin of another sister
All dressed in gowns and pearls

There's a story behind this lovely lady
She was raised by the children of the gods
Aphrodite was her mother, Thor was her father
They've lived millenia against the odds

And then the one day when the lady finally had a son
Descendant of the gods and hero to Earth
That this hero would somehow meet his sisters
They're much more trouble than they're worth

He has the power of the gods!
Fighting against the odds!
And that's why he's his mother's favorite....

(sounds of lightning strikes, screams, thunderbolts and a mother screaming at her adult kids)
I have a website called the Guide to the Mythological Universe with bios to gods and goddesses and the photos of the celebs who should play them.

. . . yes, motherGodess will have her favorite . . . But what they do to the remaining siblings, can be quite unfair & leave lasting personality traits: Dave was her Prince, but bros, J & J , were ~subLitterMates, treated most cruelly !
