Original Song Title:

"Eight Days A Week"

Original Performer:

The Beatles

Parody Song Title:

"Aches, Dazed and Weak (The Flu Song)"

Parody Written by:

Forteen and Baeutiful

The Lyrics

Be nice.
I could use a tissue
Sniffle all the time
I wish I could kiss you
But I feel like slime
I feel awful
Simply awful
Yes this is just how I feel:
Aches, dazed and weak

Aches, dazed and weak
I know you know I loathe flu
Aches, dazed and weak
The flu's not what I want to share

I hope I feel better
Very, very soon
Or I think I'll get a
Semi-private room
Oh I miss you
Want to kiss you
But if I did, you'd just feel
Aches, dazed and weak

Aches, dazed and weak
I know you know I loathe flu
Aches, dazed and weak
The flu's not what I want to share

I give you fives because it's a good early attempt, but not for spelling your name.
Dudley Stone - April 24, 2004 - Report this comment
This is one of the most unfortunate parody attempts I've read lately. 'Achy'! 'ACHY' is the adjective. Alternatively, you could feel the following nouns: aches, DIZZINESS and WEAKNESS. But no, I don't suppose that wouldn't fit your silly attempt at parody, would it? Better to just mangle the language and make a nonsensical statement. Parodies are meant to be silly, yes. But not stupid. Try harder. I will, however, give you the benefit of the doubt that your name spelling is intentional. Some sort of quasi-gaelic thing? Actually kind of cute. The best thing about this submission, really. Was that unkind?

Worth something for the title alone... a Baeutiful use of words.

I dunno, I liked it. This writer shows promise. I'll 5 it.

I'm with Guy and Phil - 5's - strongly disagree with "one of the most unfortunate parody attempts" - but might have missed it if not for Dudley's comment.

I thought the 'aches, dazed and weak' was very clever!
