The Lyrics

when i tune to his program
i go back to a much better time
where i stop, and i'm joined by a favorite of mine
he's an old-fashioned comic
i can see him again
see him again

sheriff deadeye...the mean widdle kid, too
he's freddie the tramp, pantomiming for you
killed me...killed me...killed me
cause he's
such a show-stopper
i sure used to love his clem cadiddlehopper

hail, red skelton...hail, red skelton...hail, red skelton

willie lump-lump...cauliflower mc pugg, too
and the mustached red who's from san fernandoo
kiled me...killed me...killed me
cause he's
such a show-stopper
i sure used to love his clem cadiddlehopper

hail, red skelton...hail, red skelton...hail, red skelton

look out...cause here he comes

when i tune to his program
i go back to a much better time
where i stop, and i'm joined by a favorite of mine
he's an old-fashioned comic
i can see him again
see him again

sheriff deadeye...the mean widdle kid, too
he's freddie the tramp, pantomiming for you
killed me...killed me...killed me
cause he's
such a show-stopper
i sure used to love his clem cadiddlehopper

look out
hail, red skelton...hail, red skelton...hail, red skelton

look out..hail, red skelton

he's sayin' "god bless"
yes, he is
yes, he is

Alvin - Yes, a show the whole "Family" could tune in and turn on to...Great job! 5-5-5 - The only problem I had with it was that "Helter Skelter" delivered this creepy image in my head of Charles Manson being on Red's show as a "Guest". SO glad that never happened...

You ain't just Whislin' In Brooklyn. Red was a multi-talented performer. My favorite routine had Red coming home drunk one-to-many times. To teach him a lesson, his wife had all the bedroom furniture nailed to the wall, so it looked like the wall was the floor. Sheriff Deadeye Fives for you, sir, and may God bless.
