The Lyrics

This one is dedicated to the half dozen or so Am I Right regulars who have not yet commented on any of the 33 parodies I've submitted.
Tell me why should I vote 5 for guys ignorin' me
Come a time when I will need some reciprocity

Well I gave it everything I had
But you didn't even cast a vote
No my songs are really not so bad
Once I even got a five from Sloat ;)

Tell me why should I vote 5 for guys ignorin' me
Come a time when I will need some reciprocity

Got no comments, not a single one
Tell you what my friend, it aint no lie
AmIRight has got a lotta songs
And I could miss all yours if I tried

Tell me why should I vote 5 for guys ignorin' me
Come a time when I will need some reciprocity

Wouldn't beg you on my bended knees
There's a course that's lookin clear to me
Know I'm soundin' petty and rude
But I'm not gonna comment, I'll just ignore you too :-)

Tell me why should I vote 5 for guys ignorin' me
Come a time when I will need some reciprocity

I, like yourself, have been snubbed by the snob clique around. Punitive action may result. Excellent , insightful, and splendidly expressed, my fellow non-votee. The voters are scared of you!!!

Thanks Birg and Chris. I don't know if people here are snobs. I think probably they have been doing this a while, and have high standards. They might have seen the first few songs I submitted as a raw beginner, and given up on me. I'd like them to take another look, as I think the last 20 or so I've done hold up pretty well.

Glad you enjoyed that, Sloatead. Chris, I must admit that I don't know any songs by Shania Twain, but I will look at your site.

Mac - You are somewhat under-rated. I have read, commented and voted on many of your parodies. I usually don't vote or comment when I don't know the song but you write enough well known stuff that you should be getting more attention. I don't think that there are a lot of snobs out here. Sometimes it just takes a while to get established. This crowd is a lot like the crowd at the Apollo Theatre. So keep on keepin' on. You just have to keep trying different things until you figure out what works out here. I got discouraged many a time and still do sometimes believe it or not. You are a good writer. Keep 'em coming.

Thanks again for the encouragement and kind words, Guy. I will keep writing whenever I get a good idea. It's a lot of fun, regardless of whether or not the song turns out to be popular.
