Song Parodies -> "Eisenhower"

Original Song Title:

"And I Love Her"

Original Performer:

The Beatles

Parody Song Title:

Parody Written by:

Alvin Rhodes

The Lyrics

elected by a slide
in fifty-two
the people all liked ike
i liked him, too

so bald, its startling
he's elderly
he had a wartime fling
in forty-three

but it went sour
he finally died
in sixty-nine
he was buried

his record really shined
oh what a guy
he had his face on "time"
in fifty-five

and as his health declined
it made us cry
when we found out he died
we heaved a sigh

I don't remember very much about Dwight D. I liked your parody though.

Short, but sweet: a lovely parody.

It seems that if the parody title is a clever take off of the original, the rest of the parody will usually be a good one. Such is the case with this one. The only thing missing is his main passion in life - golf.

A pretty epitaph for a decent man.
