The Lyrics

Ugggh, taxes.
Dear sir or madam whom it may concern, I have not been lying about what I earn.
I based calculations on form B-15, which is obsolete, this just a huge
Paperwork nightmare, paperwork nightmaaaaare!

It's a dirty audit of a cleaning man, and the IRS doesn't understand.
My son's dependent even at his age, there's a loophole here but it's still a huge
Paperwork nightmare, paperwork nightmaaaaare!

Paperwoooork nightmaaaare, nightmaaaaare, nightmaaaaare

I've a thousand records, give or take a few, I'll have twice as much in a year or two.
I can track donations and my gross income, but I need a break, taxes are a huge
Paperwork nightmare, paperwork nightmaaaaare!

If you're still following could you help me out, I could really use some extra legal clout
Could you represent me at my trial date, I don't know the laws, and it's all a huge
Paperwork nightmare, paperwork nightmaaaaare!

Paperwoooork nightmaaaare, nightmaaaaare, nightmaaaaare

Paperwork nightmare, paperwork nightmare,
Paperwork nightmare, paperwork nightmare,
Paperwork nightmare, paperwork nightmare,
Paperwork nightmare, paperwork nightmare (fade out)

This is very good work for a newbie. "Paperwork Nightmare" is a very good title and sub (word substitution) Sometimes, that's all it takes -- and then the words just flow

One of those "damn, I really wish I'd thought of that" ideas - beautifully executed.

"Paperback Writer" is also a good song to cut your teeth on. It's got a fast urgent beat that gets your creative juices going, especially if you were a kid when this song came out. And the rhyme scheme is not difficult. I tried it once, and the words flowed in like the Niagara River. Finished it in the blink of a heartbeat
