The Lyrics

Picture a boy in a leotard glittered
With garlands of green and sequins in stripes.
Somebody calls him a nasty slur daily,
A boy with a vacuum-sealed mind.

Swinging from rafters, young Frank on trapeze,
Flowering over their heads.
Took a big breath and was taken by flight:
His swan song.

Frankie in the Air with Garlands
Frankie in the Air with Garlands
Frankie in the Air with Garlands
GO!

Finds his way up to the bridge 'tween the mountains,
Where passerby people see salt in his eyes.
Ev'ryone shouts in his heart that beats sour,
He sees it all passing him by.

Newsman reluctant to file a report,
Eager to go home today.
Saw little Frank with his head in the clouds,
Now he's gone.

Frankie in the Air with Garlands
Frankie in the Air with Garlands
Frankie in the Air with Garlands
NO!

Picture a boy 'neath the weight of a nation,
A black and white portrait, looks good in his tie.
Silently someone's inverting a big smile,
The boy predisposed to despise.

Frankie's in the Air with Garlands
Frankie's in the Air with Garlands
Frankie's in the Air with Garlands
GO!

Frankie in the Air with Garlands
Frankie in the Air with Garlands
Frankie in the Air with Garlands
NO!

this was pretty good

I really liked this - although I have no idea of the story behind it. Is this Frankie a real person, or is it a character in a made-up story? I'm intrigued!

I second everything Wendy said. It's pretty good, but I have no idea of the story...nice work

To parody some lines from the same album..."Me see the new tune by brightCap, me scratching me head with me hand, geez that was weird, but the lines came out clear, he's doing the best that he can..."

Frankie Valli? He does look pretty fruity with some garlands.

(ABC) Well, that was really well written - could easily be an actual Beatles song - but I don't know if it's meant to be funny or biographical or bizarre or what. I guess it's worth 555 for the writing alone, but some context would've really helped, IMO.

A Cirque De Soleil anthem! I tend to agree with Conq...well written, not necessarily the funniest of songs.

Definitely went for the sincere approach-- which I realize is odd for a parody. It's not based on a real person but it is based in reality. The idea began with a substitution of the acronym from the original title.

(ABC) Bizarre, but no doubt written amazingly well! I'm not going to repeat what everyone else said, but samesies here.
