Was U.N. Ambassador, then chairman of the R.N.C. during Watergate.
Fair play was his way.
Envoy to China, finally
Head of C.I.A.

Ran for the White House, then he became
Reagan's fine V.P.
In 'eighty-four they carried almost every state,
Won the top job in 'eighty-eight!
The Berlin Wall and Iron Curtain came down.
The Cold War was won!
He led the nation in celebration.

When Saddam overran Kuwait
Bush turned to the world.
All joined hands to defeat Hussein -
Freedom's flags unfurled!

But the economy tanked and George
Lost - well, second place.
Clinton was a charmer and a better show,
Bush votes were sapped by Ross Perot.
Now in retirement, he's loved again,
Much more than his son.
He's never jiving! He's still skydiving!
