"Print More Money!"

Parody Written by:

The Lyrics

With this recession, if theres money lacking why can't they simply print more of it?!
Print more money!
Print more money!

A recession, and a big cash shortfall
I've got a tip, a big windfall
Theres no cash, its a lottery
The Government should print more money!

Print more money!
Print more money!
Print more money!

Ain't rocket science, to turn on the printer
More banknotes will make us richer!

Print more money!
Print more money!
Print more money!

Then everyone will be so happy
Feels good with all this new money
Lets all go on a big shopping spree
And we'll all help the economy!

Print more money!
Print more money!
Print more money!
Print more money!
Print more money!
Print more money!
Print more money!

I don't know what the situation is in the UK, but I think that here in the 'States, people should be able to print their own currency, like Dale does on "King of the Hill". 5s for you!

I was thinking exactly what you were thinking! I believe they should print more money! But what I've read in one of the news articles, they say printing money doesn't work. As I've read in UKCoalition: "Inflation would skyrocket. The value of money is dependent in part on how much money is in supply. Money is worthless without anything to back it up. Right now, for every dollar you have, there is a tiny amount of gold in Fort Knox backing up the value of that dollar. If you just printed tons more money, it would become completely worthless. Inflation would skyrocket, and it would cost 30$ to buy a loaf of bread. It would be nice though, wouldn't it?" You can read more of it in http://www.ukcoalition.org/AIDS-Drug/13346.htm. I'm not exactly sure how old is the article, but that's the best answer that I can find as of right now. In addition, greed is another thing that came to my mind. The more money printed, the more they'll spend. But all the same, I wished that they would print more money. If they would everybody would be happy. I would definitely spend like there's no tomorrow, because I spoil myself! Anyways nice to see you writing parodies, Jason! Printing $555 for you!

Double majors in Finance and Economics, to back up Max Power and Christie Marie M.
In fact, the DEFINITION of "inflation" (no, it's not "rising prices") is "an increase in the money supply". CMM did a pretty good job of explaining why COUNTERFEITING more money inevitably leads to those rising prices.

Look at the economic history of countries like Mexico, Brazil, Argentina, and some European and Asian economies who've done the same thing. In Mexico, they eventually just took three zeros off the notes. I. e,. a 1,000-Old-Peso note was exchanged for a note of one New Peso. In other countries, workers demanded to be paid twice a day, so they could spend their paychecks on their lunch hour, as prices would have risen even more by the time the work day was though.

Would normally vote "1" on content, not because I disagree (have Fived many well-written parodies with whose politics I disagreed), but because of the complete lack of factual basis and ignorance of the actual situation. Good comedy is based in fact and reality. I'm abstaining, though, on the off-chance that you're being facetious -- hope so, but it wasn't evident. Cheers.

Jason, given your comment at my song, that you're fully aware of the negative consequences of the actions described, and were being facetious, I gladly print you these counterfeit Fives. I just wish that the facetiousness had been evident, either in the song itself, or in the intro or outro. Some other readers might have taken it seriously, as I did.

p.s. If I were you, I'd spend the 555 quickly, as their value is going to drop sharply soon! :-)
