Original Song Title:

Original Performer:

The Beatles

Parody Song Title:

"Molly Loves This Guy Called Desmond"

Parody Written by:

Alvin Rhodes

The Lyrics

desmond has goods in a cart to deliver
and molly, she sings, with bands that drop by
he says to molly, "your face is quite lovely"
his hand, she takes, quite by surprise

he takes a trolley and where is he seen ?
jewelry store, with his bread
big golden ring of a generous size
he has bought

molly loves this guy...called desmond
molly loves this guy...called desmond
molly loves this guy...called desmond
ahhhhhh...ahhhhhh

he takes this ring and upon it, he's counting
to look very pleasing in molly's sweet eyes
she's at the door, she's been waiting for hours
to see this incredible prize

happy forever, right here at the store
"kids, lend a hand", he will say
molly stays home and her face she adorns
band plays on

molly loves this guy...called desmond
molly loves this guy...called desmond
molly loves this guy...called desmond
ahhhhhh...ahhhhhh

picture this home in the spot where its stationed
there's kids in the yard, of all shape and size
desmond stays home, does his face for a long while
then sings with the band in disguise

molly loves this guy...called desmond
molly loves this guy...called desmond
molly loves this guy...called desmond
ahhhhhh...ahhhhhh

Very challanging spin, Alvin, incorporating Ob La Di Ob Lo Da, into another classic. Well done!

Brilliant companion piece...the old switcheroo never had it better! While people often claim that all pop and rock tunes are the same, you've proven that it takes an Alvin to pull it off. ;D

When I saw it done the other way around, I was hoping you hadn't done it this way so I could try it myself. Thanks for saving me the work, this was brilliant.

I just remembered that a couple of years ago I turned Billy Joel's "Honesty" into "Yesterday" and the Beatles' "Yesterday" into "Honesty." Aren't merged parodies fun?

Another Alvin Incorporated original. And this is no diamond in the rough - this one is well polished. Fine job Alvin.
