Original Song Title:

"Lucy In The Sky With Diamonds"

Original Performer:

The Beatles

Parody Song Title:

"Loopy Little Guy Who's Mimin'"

Parody Written by:

Alvin Rhodes

The Lyrics

picture this wretch as he hopelessly mimics
a man in a breeze...who hardly sways by
his body stalls as he prances quite slowly
his face with a white-as-snow guise

millin' for hours, this fellow is seen
flowerpot sloped on his head
goofs for the world...its no fun, he's despised
please be gone

loopy little guy who's mimin'
loopy little guy who's mimin'
loopy little guy who's mimin'
ah...ah

hollow, this clown, unabridged as he's bouncin'
don't talk like most people...just stark mute replies
nobody smiles...all expressions are dour
he thinks he's incredibly wry

new to this act, it appears, and he bores
someone please take him away
kindly go back, little pest without sound
please be gone

loopy little guy who's mimin'
loopy little guy who's mimin'
loopy little guy who's mimin'
ah...ah

picture this wretch in a strange situation
a box with no borders, that one can surmise
stunt is a dumb one, a clearly absurd style
his face with a white-as-snow guise

loopy little guy who's mimin'
loopy little guy who's mimin'
loopy little guy who's mimin'

Great use of the OS, Alvin. Really funny. Liked the "white-as-snow guise'. I read an article last week that they held an auction for Marcel Marceau's personal items. It would have been a funny skit to do on T.V. if the bidders for his effects were all mimes. The auctioneer would only hear silence for all the bids, and nothing would sell....LOL

thanks mark...lol @ your auction scenario....maybe they could sell off his invisible box

it sounds like this one was fun to write, as much as i enjoy the 'read'. Sir Alvin, ~The Duke o'Swervin' Roads ~.

Another Beatles' song and another great parody, Alvin.

I don't know if Harpo Marx would fit this category, but he had a funny, pantomime style. Not all of them were bores. Your parody is clever.

I gotta quit reading parodies by the nearly-full moonlight, even though the setting's so pleasant. Thought it was "minin" (mining), and "white face" = Snow White, so about one of the dwarfs. d'oh. Never really "got" mime as an art form, but then, I talk a lot lol. 555

Funny look at miming, alvin, although if you think about it, they are funy, in a not so ha-ha way. 5's

Good job at parodying those clowns. I swear, I'm not making this up: The Security Code for this comment was "L5D." Looking remarkably like the OS's initials "LSD." You can't make this stuff up!
