Original Song Title:

"Nowhere Man"

Original Performer:

The Beatles

Parody Song Title:

"Asperger Man"

Parody Written by:

Susanna Viljanen

The Lyrics

Asperger's syndrome isn't a nice thing when it has hit - especially to people around the subject. Yet it can be survived, as long as we know what the issue is about. It's more important to understand what the issue is about and learn to handle the subject rather than stample the subject as "dork" outright.
He is Asperger man,
living in his A-S land
making life hard to stand - for ev'body
He has strong points of views,
pisses off both me and you
has no sense of shame at all - or empathy

Aspie Man, please listen,
You can't see you're missing,
social skills, the world does not you understand

He is geek as geek can be
knows train schedules, stars and trees
Aspie man, don't you see us at all?

Aspie man, don't worry
We love you, don't hurry
Aspie man, we need you just understand

He is quite brainy man
though he's hard to understand
Aspie man, you're not a dork at all

Aspie man, we love you
though it's hard understand you
Aspie man, you're knowledgeful a man

He is Asperger man
so try to him to understand
He is quite brainy after all

Well, I don't know anything about "Asperger's Syndrome", but when I get a chance, perhaps later today (maybe...I'm at work and got a few things to do here) I'll follow that link and find out something. Nice job, 5's.

My son has Aspergers and this song is right on. Thanks for writing it. I wouldn't trade my son for a dozen so-called normal people. Being his mother has taught me a lot and given me many totally unique moments. I feel priviliged to have been given the job.

Mixed feelings here. I guess no one really does understand me, but I'm trying to fit in. Not rating this one.

"has no sense of shame at all - or empathy" You are so wrong. AS people certainly do have those feelings. They are just unable to express them. I should know!

I have Asperger Syndrome myself, and yeah, this song was correct. A good laugh, lol. We have a hard time showing our sympathy, tend to be smart (not bragging), lacks social skills, be a bit geeky, etc... But it doesn't matter, lol. Use your improved observation skills, enjoy life, and you will quite often get a wider view on life than most "ordinary people". Aspie for life, lol.
