| Parody Song Title: | "Only The Roanly" |
| Parody Written by: | Stan Hall |
Dum-dum-dum-dumdy-doo-wah
Ooh-neigh--neigh—neigh...
Oh-oh-oh-oh-wah ...
Only the roanly.
Only the roanly.
Only the roanly (dum-dum-dum-dumdy-doo-wah)
grow a coat of steel and white. (Ooh-neigh--neigh--neigh—neigh ….
Only the roanly (dum-dum-dum-dumdy-doo-wah)
whose alleles ain’t quite right. (dum-dum-dum-dumdy-doo-wah)
Clairol® just may be
where roans must start
to shed forever
look of op art,
but only the roanly
should dye …
here’s why:
“Roanly is lonely.”
Dum-dum-dum-dumdy-doo-wah
Ooh-neigh--neigh—neigh ...
Oh-oh-oh-oh-wah …
Only the roanly.
Only the roanly.
Only the roanly
know the heartache of miscued
coats, when their roanly
snow...oh white’s pied with blue
Maybe dyed sorrel
hue they’re enhanced …
If that’s immoral,
then that’s a chance they’ve gotta take!
If you’re roanly, partake!
(Only if roanly.)
Ooh-neigh--neigh—neigh...
Oh-oh-oh-oh-wah ...
Only the roanly.
Only the roanly.
Only the roanly (dum-dum-dum-dumdy-doo-wah)

Sure, this one's a stretch, but I just felt like horsin' around with an Orbison tune.

I'm thinking as I read this post-posting, that the lyric's opening syllable--"dum(b)"-- is ironically apt re the effort as a whole, and most illustrative of tehj dangers of running with the first silly real- or semi-real-word tite sub that pops into one's head. :-)
made me whinny, if not horse laugh out loud
Dun, dun, dun dun do me, yeah!
Interesting title...unique
Good original idea - like it
OMG thats my horses show name! Only the Roanly! i love this its funny. My horse is a strawberry roan
Great name for your horse, Kaitlyn. Actually, I've always been partial to Appaloosas, horse coat-wise. Never cared for Palominos. :-)
